Call for Nominations: AACTE Committee Members
Are you ready to lend your expertise and assume a leadership role in the national educator preparation community, or do you know someone who is? Nominate yourself or a colleague to serve on one of the AACTE Programmatic Advisory Committees (PACs) by May 31.
Why Serve on an AACTE Committee?
According to your peers, some of the most rewarding experiences of being an AACTE committee member are the opportunities to do the following:
- Foster new collaborative projects and know you are part of a national organization that makes a difference in education.
- Establish lasting partnerships and friendships with colleagues passionate about advancing divergent thought to continue the good work of the Association.
- Work together across institutions to create a community of equity advocates disrupting the status quo.
- Provide a voice for your member institutions that trust you with input to make greater impacts than your individual role affords.
- Gain experiences in other leadership roles and insight into the national landscape of teacher education.
- Support the mission and vision of AACTE and the profession.
Eligibility
All faculty, staff, and administrators from member institutions are eligible to serve on a programmatic advisory committee. Members may not serve on more than one programmatic advisory committee at the same time.
Self-nominations are accepted. The nominator and nominee must be from current AACTE member institutions.
Timing and Term Commitment
Committee appointments will be approved by the AACTE Board of Directors in early fall. Those appointed will serve a three-year term beginning March 1, 2025. Committees typically meet once in person during the AACTE Annual Meeting and virtually during the remainder of the year.
