AACTE Announces 2018-19 State Chapter Award Recipients
AACTE has awarded five state chapters the 2018-19 AACTE State Chapter Support Grant. The recipients are as follows:
- Arizona
- Colorado
- Indiana
- Iowa
- New Jersey
Each year, AACTE and the Advisory Council of State Representatives (ACSR) Executive Committee select recipients of the State Chapter Support Grants to help strengthen the capacity of the chapters on various levels, including advocacy and statewide collaboration to meet key challenges, as well as strengthen AACTE’s relationship with state chapters.
“These funds allow the AACTE state chapters to address key issues for their state and chapter,” said Mary Murray, chair of the ACSR Executive Committee. “The support of these grants is a clear recognition by AACTE of the critical work of the profession and for the profession at the state level.”
“We are excited about and look forward to learning more about the state chapter educator preparation projects that these awards help support,” said President and CEO Lynn M. Gangone. “AACTE deeply believes in the work of its state chapters in establishing advocacy, partnerships, and innovation that advances the profession.
Over the next year, State Chapter Support Grant recipients will provide quarterly progress reports to ACSR and AACTE, and will present at the State Leaders Institute during AACTE’s Washington Week in early June 2019.
