Highlighting New Resources from CEEDAR

Special education teachers and advocates are invited to utilize resources developed by CEEDAR to improve student outcomes, implement new strategies, and gain valuable leadership skills. AACTE collaborates with CEEDAR to offer insights from comprehensive educator preparation programs and educational partners who have excelled in recruiting and preparing candidates to become fully licensed special educators.

Newly available and updated resources include the following:

  • New High-Leverage Practice (HLP) Guidance: The HLP guidance document was collaboratively developed by the CEEDAR Center and the Council for Exceptional Children. Along with the document itself, these supplemental resources have been created to help assist the spread and implementation of the HLPs.
  • Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Innovation Configurations (IC): Learn how UDL can improve student outcomes with the newly refreshed Universal Design for Learning IC. This IC provides recommendations for embedding UDL in general and special education pre-service teacher preparation programs and can improve PD for in-service teachers.
  • Inclusive Principal Leadership IC: Looking to develop inclusive leaders? Explore CEEDAR’s Inclusive Principal Leadership IC. This is a great tool for reviewing and strengthening principal preparation and practice. It equips leaders with the knowledge, skills, and practice to support inclusive schools.
