AACTE is seeking entries for the Gloria J. Ladson-Billings Outstanding Book Award and James D. Anderson Outstanding Dissertation Award, to highlight the accomplishments, research, and writing of AACTE members in the field of educator preparation.
- 2025 Gloria J. Ladson-Billings Outstanding Book Award – Submit by June 7
This award, overseen by the AACTE Committee on Research and Dissemination, recognizes exemplary books that make a significant contribution to the knowledge base of educator preparation or teaching and learning with implications for educator preparation. Learn more and submit now.
- 2025 James D. Anderson Outstanding Dissertation Award – Submit by June 7
This award, overseen by AACTE’s Committee on Research and Dissemination, recognizes excellence in doctoral dissertation research (or its equivalent) that contributes to the knowledge base of educator preparation or of teaching and learning with implications for educator preparation. Awardees will be honored at the AACTE 2025 Annual Meeting in Long Beach, CA, February 21 – 23. Members are invited to watch the webinar, “Disrupting Injustice: Creating Classroom Communities for Everyone,” where last year’s Outstanding Book Award Winner David Stroupe, Ph.D., shares details about writing his award-winning book.
