Unveiling the Power of ATLAS at #AACTE24

Get ready to embark on a journey that will transform how you approach teacher preparation. The upcoming AACTE 2024 Annual Meeting is set to feature a hands-on exploration of ATLAS, an online video library by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. In this AACTE Learning Lab, participants will uncover the multitude of ways ATLAS is being utilized by educator preparation programs (EPPs) to enhance teacher candidates’ exposure to effective teaching and cultivate their reflective abilities.

  1. Understanding the ATLAS Video Library: Delve into the features and capabilities of the ATLAS video library. Learn how this comprehensive resource is curated to support teacher candidates at every stage of their preparation journey. 
  1. Exploring ATLAS Video Cases: Gain insights into how ATLAS video cases are strategically employed to enrich candidates’ field experiences. Discover the impact of real-world examples on candidates’ ability to observe and analyze effective teaching practices. 
  1. Supporting Reflective Practices: Uncover the role of ATLAS in fostering reflective teaching practices. Explore how candidates can use ATLAS to deepen their understanding of effective teaching strategies and reflect on their own pedagogical approaches.
