Can’t make the 74th Annual Meeting? AACTE holds two other annual events: Washington Week and Leadership Academy.
Washington Week is an annual convening composed of three events: State Leaders Institute (SLI), Holmes Summer Policy Institute, and Day on the Hill. The Holmes Institute and SLI typically convene concurrently, with Day on the Hill following. Many Holmes and SLI attendees stay on for Day on the Hill, and their agendas are tailored to provide a cohesive experience with or without Day on the Hill.
The Leadership Academy is held each year for new and aspiring deans, department chairs, directors of educator preparation programs, and other academic administrators in schools, colleges, and departments of education. The academy offers expert presentations and interactive sessions around essential topics, from managing finite resources to effective development and public relations, while helping attendees cultivate a supportive network of peers.
