Reminder: Vote in the AACTE Board Election Underway Through Nov. 29

You may think that the next big election will occur in a few months in Iowa. Actually, an important election is underway and, regardless of where you live, now is the time to vote! The 2019 election for the AACTE Board of Directors is underway through November 29. All AACTE Institutional and Chief Representatives are eligible to vote. Four new seats will be selected via online voting:
  • two at-large seats
  • one seat representing the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education (AILACTE)
  • one seat representing the Council of Academic Deans from Research Education Institutions (CADREI)
The slate is as follows: Four individuals are running for two at-large seats:
Chinaka DomNwachukwu Dean, College of Education California State University, San Bernardino
Jon Henning Dean, School of Education Monmouth University
Jesse Mendez Dean, College of Education Texas Tech University
Mary Oling-Sisay Mary Oling-Sisay Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Humboldt State University
Two individuals are running for one seat representing the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education (AILACTE):
Aarek Farmer Aarek Farmer Director, Ed.D. Program in Instructional Leadership Freed-Hardeman University
Kimberly A. White-Smith Kimberly A. White-Smith Dean, LaFetra College of Education University of La Verne
Two individuals are running for one seat representing the Council of Academic Deans for Research Education Institutions (CADREI):
Marvin Lynn Marvin Lynn Dean, College of Education Portland State University
Jon Pedersen Jon Pedersen Dean, College of Education University of South Carolina
If you are an official AACTE Institutional or Chief Representative, enter the online voting system for the Board Election to vote in the online poll by November 29 (polls close at midnight Eastern Standard Time). Be sure that your voice is heard!
