Win a Prize in the #AACTE18 Trivia Contest
This year marks the 70th anniversary of AACTE, and we want to celebrate with you at the 2018 Annual Meeting! As we honor the past, present, and future of educator preparation in Baltimore, Maryland, several fun activities will be offered to engage attendees, including the AACTE History Trivia Contest. Come test your knowledge about the history of AACTE and have a chance to win one of three prizes!
For example, did you know that over 100 years ago, five presidents of Midwestern teachers’ colleges came together to form the American Association of Teachers Colleges (AATC), one of AACTE’s direct predecessor organizations? AATC operated for 30 years as a department of the National Education Association, and even carried out accreditation functions. By 1947, the annual dues were up to $50!
If you enjoy trivia or just want a chance to win a cool prize, please join us for this contest at the Annual Meeting. Simply visit the AACTE Membership Booth in the Key Ballroom of the Hilton Baltimore (second floor) to participate. There, two iPad kiosks will be available for you to take the 20-question trivia quiz. Participants’ names will be submitted into a drawing to select contest winners—you don’t even have to get the questions right to enter, so come have fun and learn with us!
The contest starts at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, and ends at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2. The prize drawing will take place March 2 at 4:45 p.m. at the AACTE Membership Booth. Three winners will be selected and will receive an Apple iPad Mini, Amazon Echo, or Amazon Kindle HD. For details, see the AACTE History Trivia Contest rules.
