Call for Nominations: Serve Your Association!
Do you know an individual with broad or deep experience in the field of educator preparation? Do you think someone’s guidance would benefit the educator preparation community nationally? Nominate that person (or yourself!) by May 8 to serve an important role in the governance of AACTE.
AACTE is currently accepting nominations for the AACTE Board of Directors and standing committees, which are the committees on:
- Global Diversity
- Government Relations and Advocacy
- Innovation and Technology
- Meetings and Professional Development
- Membership Development and Capacity Building
- Professional Preparation and Accountability
- Research and Dissemination
Eligibility
Any individual from an AACTE member institution is eligible to serve on a standing committee. Committee appointments are determined by Board vote. Board nominees must be a Chief or Institutional Representative. Board candidates will be named by October, and elections will run November 9-27, 2015.
Time Commitment
Selected candidates for the Board and committees will serve a 3-year term beginning March 1, 2016, and will meet at least twice a year. Additional meetings may be held by conference call.
