Erica Reid Named Holmes Scholar of the Month

Congratulations to May Scholar of the Month Erica Reid of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)!

Originally from upstate New York, Reid earned her B.A. in English from the University at Albany and a M.S. in secondary education from the College of Saint Rose. She began working for UNLV in 2016 as an instructional designer for the Plus Center, creating modules for the hospitality industry training programs. Before joining the UNLV staff, she served as a secondary English and language arts teacher, licensed to teach grades 6-12.

Brianna Joseph Named Holmes Scholar of the Month

Congratulations to Brianna Joseph, Holmes Scholar of the Month for March 2018!

Joseph is a 3rd-year full-time doctoral student in the Department of Exceptional Student Education at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Her research interests include the over- and underrepresentation of students from various racial/ethnic backgrounds in special education and integrating adults with intellectual disabilities in fitness activities.

Holmes Scholar of the Month: Eboni Caridine

Congratulations to Eboni Caridine, Holmes Scholar of the Month for December 2017!

Caridine is a doctoral candidate in the Ph.D. program in higher education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Her research interests include undergraduate student involvement in campus governance processes, community-based organizations and their partnerships with postsecondary institutions, and racial equality in education.

At UNLV, Caridine has taught several first- and second-year seminar courses for the College of Education and served as a graduate assistant with CREA (Center for Research, Evaluation, and Assessment), where her responsibilities included assisting the team with evaluating school reform programs in the state of Nevada.
