Registration is now open for AACTE’s 69th Annual Meeting in Tampa, Florida, March 2–4, 2017. Take advantage of discounted registration by the Early Bird deadline of October 19.

The imperative to improve outcomes for our nation’s increasingly diverse learners demands the support of a unified professional community. Together, educator preparation providers will share their stories and successes in building a broad-based professional community as they gather in Tampa for AACTE’s 2017 Annual Meeting–the premier event for the profession. Come together with your colleagues in one place, uniting under one purpose, to realize dividends academically, professionally, and personally.

The conference theme, “Acting as One: The Power of the Professional Community,” is supported by four strands:

Strand 1: The Knowledge Base for Teaching and Learning
Discuss the latest innovations in teaching, models of effective instruction, and the roles of partners and improvement mechanisms in knowledge production.

Strand 2: Community Engagement on Problems of Practice
Examine the partnerships and structures within and outside higher education that promote and support the development of shared knowledge and practice.

Strand 3: Social Responsibility: Access and Equity
Discover specific evidence from programs, practices, and interdisciplinary innovations that increase educators’ preparedness for meeting the needs of all learners.

Strand 4: Continuous Improvement and Accountability
Explore measures of programs’ impact on PK–12 students, teachers’ perceptions of their professional preparation, and shared values and practices related to continuous improvement and accountability.
