Call for Submissions: AACTE Innovations Inventory

AACTE is excited to announce a call for new submissions to the Innovations Inventory! Online submissions will be accepted now through September 23.

The Innovations Inventory is an online repository of successful programs and initiatives that are improving educator preparation at AACTE member institutions. By documenting successful innovations, the inventory aims to inspire and support advances in educator preparation based on proven approaches that will benefit the field broadly. Members and their PK-12 partners are invited to submit examples of unique or new approaches to educator preparation programs or initiatives that address critical issues in educator preparation and show evidence of positive impact.

In this year’s call for submissions, we are pleased to offer two pathways through which faculty and partners can share their innovative programs:

  • Research-focused submissions will be considered through a blind, peer-review process facilitated by a committee of reviewers with a range of expertise in educator preparation. Submissions approved in this category will be valuable not only to users of the Innovations Inventory but also to the submission team for use in professional contexts, such as the promotion and tenure process.
  • Practice-based innovations will be reviewed by AACTE staff for inclusion in the online inventory.

Both submission pathways will allow members and their PK-12 partners to contribute to the publicly accessible repository of best practices, calling attention to their work and providing exemplars for the field. In addition to being displayed in the AACTE Innovations Inventory, the successful submissions from 2016 will be featured during the 2017 AACTE Annual Meeting in Tampa, FL.

Access the online submission forms here. The deadline for this round of submissions is Friday, September 23, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Accepted programs will be announced and posted in the Innovations Inventory by late fall.

We are excited for the opportunity to highlight the innovative programs and initiatives being undertaken by AACTE members and their partners and invite all interested faculty and partners to enter a submission for consideration.
