Register by Sept. 9 for Fall CAEPCon

Please join the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) in partnership with AACTE for this fall’s CAEP Conference, September 29–October 1 in Washington, DC. Online registration is open now through September 9.

The CAEP Conference, known as “CAEPCon,” is an opportunity to share evidence of innovations, continuous improvement, and transformational practice as well as to be informed on the CAEP accreditation process. Held twice a year, the event convenes educator preparation providers, state and local education agencies, and various education organizations and associations to share strategies and best practices along with innovative ideas about accreditation’s role in ensuring candidate readiness.

This fall’s conference focus is “program impact” and targets capacity building as well as information sharing regarding CAEP standards and processes. AACTE President/CEO Sharon P. Robinson will join CAEP President Chris Koch in the welcoming session, and other AACTE staff will be among the session presenters, offering updates on the Association’s Clinical Practice Commission and series of online seminars in support of quality assurance.

A set of optional half-day preconference workshops will run during the morning of Thursday, September 29. The afternoon will include appointments for consultations, exhibits, and breakout sessions before the opening plenary at 4:30 p.m. A full day of sessions will follow on Friday, and the conference concludes at noon Saturday.

The conference venue is the Washington Hilton Hotel, and the cutoff date for conference-rate reservations is August 31.
